I suppose I’m more just writing down my thoughts right now more than anything else.

Had an interesting conversation tonight with a lecturer and a first year student. The first year student told us about how he came from a disadvantaged background and how determined he was to rise above it. He courage and determination was genuine. There’s no way it could have been faked.

The lecturer and I saw each other as being like reflections in a mirror. We have what it takes but we’re missing the determination and drive we need. This first year student, while being a little naive made us both feel a bit guilty. Our priveleged backgrounds had made us complacent.

Where on earth does one find such determination and resolve these days?

Day 30 – Your favourite song at this time last year

Oh gosh, do I have to? I can’t even remember…. how about this?

I have no idea what I’m saying at this point. It’s probably a good thing this is over.

Day 29 – A song from your childhood

My family loved old classics, and I have a record collection from the 70’s/80’s from my uncle. There will always be a spot on my playlist for classic rock :D

This rests on the paper-thin line between hilarious and lame. (Falco is trying to taunt the boss for this level, who is a pig of some kind)

Day 27 – A song that you wish you could play

Not a huge fan of Lady Gaga, but a huge fan of power ballads like this one. Would love to play this on piano.

Day 26 – A song that you can play on an instrument

I can play this (albeit rather badly) on piano

Day 25 – A song that makes you laugh

I suppose anything by Weird Al qualifies, but this is one of my favourites
